ISRF News - New Transporters Arrive
ISRF took delivery of the first of our two new state of the art transporters. My first look at them was on the marking for St Malo. First impressions are that they are a first class job. These transporters have been along time coming with many cock-ups along the way which are well documented but I think now it's time to move forward and leave this behind. I'm sure when our members who have incured two levies see them they will see it was worth while. Lots of people had a hand in getting these transporters but one man must take considerable credit for his forsight - PADDY MARTIN of SandyHill.

A couple of years back I got a call from Paddy. He had orgainsed a meeting with some lads from all over Dublin. At the meeting we discussed ways of fundraising for the transporters. Paddy's idea was if we got the fund up and running evetually we would get there in a couple of years. He started the fund with €500.00 of his own money. The Sandyhill fund went from strength to strength with the support of the fancy. A big thanks also to the Dublin Show Committee for their donations over the last couple of years. The fund finally stood at €110,000.00, very impressive. I have no doubt we would have got these transporters but I have also no doubt that without Paddy it would have been alot longer. So many thanks for you efforts Paddy.
Also a big thanks to Paul Keegan, Mick O'Driscoll, Tony Ingle and Jimmy Roberts for their time in researching the transporters and going up and doing the deal.
Lets hope that we have many enjoyable years with these new transporters that can only benefit the birds.
Yours in Sport,
Tucker Daniel
